Review | Real Techniques Duo Fibre Collection

Hey Honeybees

"Create buildable color and add texture to look pixel perfect for any occasion and in any light with this first and only duo-fiber set. A true multitasker – duo-fiber bristles work with cream, liquid or powder for an unbelievably air-brushed finish ultra-plush, synthetic bristles are hand-cut and 100% cruelty-free extended aluminum handles are light and easy to use"
-Real Techniques Website

There's isn't too much to say about these brushes because they do the job they were intended. The brushes are a great shape and size (especially the face brush) and blend flawlessly. The brushes are easy to handle and pretty soft on the face.

There are a few annoying aspects to this collection.  Firstly, the face brush sheds a lot, I dont know why but it does. Although it blends beautifully, it doesnt pick up much product, so I have to use a different brush to apply the product and use the face brush to blend. The eye brush is a little stiff/rigid if you wanted to use use it for concealer application, but its great brush for blending (not too big)

All in all, I wouldn't talk you out of buying the duo fibre collection (Here) if you were set on it, but I do think there are other brushes (from Real Techniques) that are multi-purpose and give you more for your money.

  3. Thanks for the review! I had been looking into buying some Real Techniques brushes, but I had not heard many people saying that they shed. I'll have to keep that in consideration!

  9. I love this collection, I recently included the largest brush in my June Favourites post as it's my favourite for bronzer, I'm quite fair and it deposits just the right amount of colour. I agree with you that the eye brush isn't as suitable for concealer as I had hoped, but it's great for eyeshadow and the other brush is brilliant for cream cheek products :) so affordable, also!
